Meet our team

Dr Sarah Cely

Dr Cely was raised in Augusta, GA and graduated from Lakeside High School in 1999.  She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University in 2003, and her medical degree from the University of Louisville School in 2007.  She moved back to Augusta to complete her residency.  She completed a preliminary year in internal medicine and a 3 year residency in dermatology at The Medical College of Georgia.  Upon graduation in 2011, she joined Augusta Dermatology Associates, while also serving as adjunct faculty at the Medical College of Georgia.  In 2015, she joined Savannah River Dermatology, where she practiced until the fall of 2024.  After 11 years in practice, she founded Augusta Dermatology & Aesthetics Center.

Outside the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She is married to Jim Cely & was excited to partner with him and Duckworth Development on the buildout of the new facility.  She and Jim have two children, Dorothy (13) and James (11).  When “Dr Hawkeye” is not in the clinic, you can typically find her on the field cheering Dorothy and James on!
